Idha, bhikkhave, sammādiṭṭhi sīlānuggahitā ca hoti, sutānuggahitā ca hoti, sākacchānuggahitā ca hoti, samathānuggahitā ca hoti, vipassanānuggahitā ca hoti.  It’s when right view is supported by ethics, learning, discussion, serenity, and discernment. 

“Sattime, bhikkhave, adhikaraṇasamathā dhammā uppannuppannānaṁ adhikaraṇānaṁ samathāya vūpasamāya.  “Mendicants, there are these seven principles for the settlement of any disciplinary issues that might arise. 
Ime kho, bhikkhave, satta adhikaraṇasamathā dhammā uppannuppannānaṁ adhikaraṇānaṁ samathāya vūpasamāyā”ti. 
These are the seven principles for the settlement of any disciplinary issues that might arise.” 

‘buddho so bhagavā bodhāya dhammaṁ deseti, danto so bhagavā damathāya dhammaṁ deseti, santo so bhagavā samathāya dhammaṁ deseti, tiṇṇo so bhagavā taraṇāya dhammaṁ deseti, parinibbuto so bhagavā parinibbānāya dhammaṁ desetī’”ti?  ‘The Blessed One is awakened, tamed, serene, crossed over, and quenched. And he teaches Dhamma for awakening, taming, serenity, crossing over, and extinguishment’?” 

Satta adhikaraṇasamathā uppannuppannānaṁ adhikaraṇānaṁ samathāya vūpasamāya—  Seven principles for the settlement of any disciplinary issues that might arise: 

So suṇāti tathāgatassa vā tathāgatasāvakassa vā sabbesaṁ diṭṭhiṭṭhānādhiṭṭhānapariyuṭṭhānābhinivesānusayānaṁ samugghātāya sabbasaṅkhārasamathāya sabbūpadhipaṭinissaggāya taṇhākkhayāya virāgāya nirodhāya nibbānāya dhammaṁ desentassa.  They hear the Realized One or their disciple teaching Dhamma for the uprooting of all grounds, fixations, obsessions, insistences, and underlying tendencies regarding views; for the stilling of all activities, the letting go of all attachments, the ending of craving, fading away, cessation, extinguishment.
