1"Bhikkhus, for an immoral person there are two receptacles: [n.246] Paṭiggāhā. An unusual use of this word. Mp says simply that these two states receive (paṭiggaṇhanti) the immoral person. hell or the animal realm.

2For a virtuous person, there are two receptacles: the deva realm or the human realm."

1"Dussīlassa, bhikkhave, dve paṭiggāhā – nirayo vā tiracchānayoni vā.

2Sīlavato, bhikkhave, dve paṭiggāhā – devā vā manussā vā"ti.
