"The foremost of my disciples who can receive the staff and not violate the precepts is Gunabhadra. The one who subdues non-Buddhists and upholds the true Dharma is Pindola. The one who attends to the sick and provides medicine is Aniruddha. The one who provides the four requisites of robes and food is also Aniruddha. The one who can compose verses praising the virtues of the Tathāgata is Pūrṇa. The one who is eloquent in debate without hesitation is also Pūrṇa. The one who has attained the four kinds of eloquence and can answer difficult questions is Mahākāśyapa. The one who abides in purity and seclusion, not delighting in the midst of people, is Sāgata. The one who begs for food with endurance, not avoiding cold or heat, is Nanda. The one who dwells in solitude, concentrating on the path, is now Vīra. The one who sits and eats in one place, not moving from that place, is Śāriputra. The one who keeps the three robes, not leaving them while eating or resting, is Upavāna."
