Chapter 5 增壹阿含经比丘尼品第五

5.1 (一)

"The foremost bhikkhuni among my disciples who has been a nun for a long time and is respected by the king is Mahapajapati Gotami. The foremost in wisdom and intelligence is Canda. The foremost in spiritual powers and attracting spirits is Upacala. The foremost in practicing the ascetic practices with eleven restrictions is Kisagotami. The foremost in divine eye and unobstructed vision is Sthula. The foremost in sitting in meditation and not being distracted is Sama. The foremost in explaining the meaning and expounding the teachings is Paduma. The foremost in upholding the disciplinary teachings without transgression is Bhadda. The foremost in attaining the liberation of faith and not regressing is Kaccana. The foremost in attaining the four kinds of eloquence and being free from timidity is Uttama."

「我声闻中第一比丘尼,久出家学,国王所敬,所谓大爱道瞿昙弥比丘尼是。智慧聪明,所谓谶摩比丘尼是。神足第一,感致诸神,所谓优钵华色比丘尼是。行头陀法,十一限碍,所谓机梨舍瞿昙弥比丘尼是。天眼第一,所照无碍,所谓奢拘梨比丘尼是。坐禅入定,意不分散,所谓奢摩比丘尼是。分别义趣,广演道教,所谓波头兰阇那比丘尼是。奉持律教,无所加犯,所谓波罗遮那比丘尼是。得信解脱,不复退还,所谓迦旃延比丘尼是。得四辩才,不怀怯弱,所谓最胜比丘尼是。」
