Saṃyuktāgama杂阿含经
SA 687（六八七） 狮子吼
Thus have I heard: | 如是我闻： |
At one time the Buddha was staying at Anāthapiṇḍada’s Park in the Jeta Grove near Śrāvastī. | 一时，佛住舍卫国祇树给孤独园。 |
At that time the World-Honored One told the bhikṣus...as above. The difference is: "If someone comes and asks me about the Tathāgata's power of knowing what is possible and what is not, as the Tathāgata knows, sees, and realizes through the power of knowing what is possible and what is not, I will answer them. | 尔时，世尊告诸比丘……如上说。差别者：「若有来问我如来处非处力，如如来处非处智力所知见觉，成等正觉，为彼记说。 |
If someone comes and asks me about the Tathāgata's power of knowing the nature of suffering, as the Tathāgata knows, sees, and realizes through the power of knowing the nature of suffering, I will answer them. This is called the second power of the Tathāgata. | 「若复来问如来自以乐受智力，如如来自以乐受智力所知见觉，成等正觉，为彼记说，是名第二如来智力。 |
If someone comes and asks me about the Tathāgata's power of knowing the various meditative states, liberations, samādhis, and attainments, as the Tathāgata knows, sees, and realizes through the power of knowing the various meditative states, liberations, samādhis, and attainments, I will answer them. | 「若有来问如来禅定、解脱、三昧、正受智力，如如来禅定、解脱、三昧、正受，为彼记说。 |
If someone comes and asks me about the Tathāgata's power of knowing past lives, as the Tathāgata knows, sees, and realizes through the power of knowing past lives, I will answer them. | 「若有来问宿命所更智力，如如来宿命所更所知见觉，为彼记说。 |
If someone comes and asks me about the Tathāgata's power of knowing the divine eye, as the Tathāgata knows, sees, and realizes through the power of knowing the divine eye, I will answer them. | 「若有来问如来天眼智力，如如来天眼所见，为彼记说。 |
If someone comes and asks me about the Tathāgata's power of knowing the exhaustion of taints, as the Tathāgata knows, sees, and realizes through the power of knowing the exhaustion of taints, I will answer them. | 「若有来问如来漏尽智力，如如来漏尽智力所知见觉，为彼记说。」 |
Having spoken this sūtra, the Buddha finished what he had to say. The bhikṣus, having heard what the Buddha taught, rejoiced and received it respectfully. | 佛说此经已，诸比丘闻佛所说，欢喜奉行。 |
