Saṃyuktāgama杂阿含经

SA 903(九〇三) 离贪法第一

Thus have I heard:

如是我闻:

At one time the Buddha was staying at the Kalandaka Bamboo Grove in Rājagṛha.

一时,佛住王舍城迦兰陀竹园。

At that time the World-Honored One told the bhikṣus, "All the activities of sentient beings in the world are established based on the earth. In this way, all dharmas, whether conditioned or unconditioned, the Dharma of detachment from desire is the foremost..." Speaking extensively in this way, he said, "The noble precepts are also spoken in this way."

尔时,世尊告诸比丘:「若诸世间众生所作,彼一切皆依于地而得建立;如是一切法,有为、无为,离贪欲法最为第一……」如是广说,乃至「圣戒亦如是说。」

Having spoken this sūtra, the bhikṣus heard what the Buddha had said and joyfully upheld it.

佛说此经已,诸比丘闻佛所说,欢喜奉行。
