Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco hatthiratanampi dassanāya gacchati, assaratanampi dassanāya gacchati, maṇiratanampi dassanāya gacchati, uccāvacaṁ vā pana dassanāya gacchati, samaṇaṁ vā brāhmaṇaṁ vā micchādiṭṭhikaṁ micchāpaṭipannaṁ dassanāya gacchati. Some people go to see an elephant-treasure, a horse-treasure, a jewel-treasure, or a diverse spectrum of sights; or ascetics and brahmins of wrong view and wrong practice.
cakkaratanaṁ, hatthiratanaṁ, assaratanaṁ, maṇiratanaṁ, itthiratanaṁ, gahapatiratanaṁ, pariṇāyakaratanameva sattamaṁ. the wheel, the elephant, the horse, the jewel, the woman, the treasurer, and the counselor as the seventh treasure.

Конь-сокровище Puna caparaṁ, ānanda, rañño mahāsudassanassa assaratanaṁ pāturahosi И затем, Ананда, царю Махасудассане явился конь-сокровище — Atha kho taṁ, ānanda, assaratanaṁ seyyathāpi nāma bhaddo assājāniyo dīgharattaṁ suparidanto; evameva damathaṁ upagacchi. И тогда, Ананда, подобно тому как [делается укрощенным] хороший конь благородного происхождения, издавна прирученный, так же точно и этот конь-сокровище сделался укрощенным. Bhūtapubbaṁ, ānanda, rājā mahāsudassano tameva assaratanaṁ vīmaṁsamāno pubbaṇhasamayaṁ abhiruhitvā samuddapariyantaṁ pathaviṁ anuyāyitvā kusāvatiṁ rājadhāniṁ paccāgantvā pātarāsamakāsi. И в былые времена, Ананда, когда царь Махасудассана, испытывая этого коня-сокровище, взошел на него утром, он объехал [всю] землю до границ океана и возвратился в царскую столицу Кусавати к утренней трапезе. Rañño, ānanda, mahāsudassanassa evarūpaṁ assaratanaṁ pāturahosi. Вот, Ананда, какой конь-сокровище явился царю Махасудассане.

Sace, bhante, āyasmato ānandassa assaratanaṁ kappeyya, assaratanampi mayaṁ āyasmato ānandassa dadeyyāma. If a horse-treasure was suitable for you, I would give you one.

Puna caparaṁ, bhikkhave, rañño cakkavattissa assaratanaṁ pātubhavati— Next, the horse-treasure appears to the wheel-turning monarch. Atha kho taṁ, bhikkhave, assaratanaṁ seyyathāpi nāma bhaddo assājānīyo dīgharattaṁ suparidanto evameva damathaṁ upeti. Then the horse-treasure submitted to taming, as if he were a fine thoroughbred horse that had been tamed for a long time. Bhūtapubbaṁ, bhikkhave, rājā cakkavattī tameva assaratanaṁ vīmaṁsamāno pubbaṇhasamayaṁ abhiruhitvā samuddapariyantaṁ pathaviṁ anusaṁyāyitvā tameva rājadhāniṁ paccāgantvā pātarāsamakāsi. Once it so happened that the wheel-turning monarch, testing that same horse-treasure, mounted him in the morning and traversed the land surrounded by ocean before returning to the royal capital in time for breakfast. Rañño, bhikkhave, cakkavattissa evarūpaṁ assaratanaṁ pātubhavati. Such is the horse-treasure that appears to the wheel-turning monarch.
Assaratanena cepāhaṁ, bhante, labheyyaṁ ‘mā me ayyikā kālamakāsī’ti, assaratanampāhaṁ dadeyyaṁ: If by giving away the horse-treasure I could get my grandmother back, I’d do it.
Cakkaratanassa pātubhāvo hoti, hatthiratanassa pātubhāvo hoti, assaratanassa pātubhāvo hoti, maṇiratanassa pātubhāvo hoti, itthiratanassa pātubhāvo hoti, gahapatiratanassa pātubhāvo hoti, pariṇāyakaratanassa pātubhāvo hoti. The wheel, the elephant, the horse, the jewel, the woman, the treasurer, and the counselor.
