Ekottarāgama

Thus have I heard:

At one time, the Buddha was at Anāthapiṇḍada's Park in the Jeta Grove near Śrāvastī.

At that time, the World-Honored One told the bhikṣus, "When a wheel-turning sage-king appears in the world, then seven treasures appear in the world. Namely, the wheel treasure, elephant treasure, horse treasure, jewel treasure, jade woman treasure, householder treasure, and military commander treasure - these are the seven treasures. This is called when a wheel-turning sage-king appears in the world, then these seven treasures circulate in the world.

"When a Tathāgata appears in the world, then the seven treasures of awakening appear in the world. What are the seven? Namely, the awakening of mindfulness, the awakening of the Dharma, the awakening of diligence, the awakening of joy, the awakening of tranquility, the awakening of concentration, and the awakening of protection - these appear in the world. When a Tathāgata appears in the world, then these seven treasures of awakening appear in the world. Therefore, bhikṣus! You should seek the means to cultivate these seven treasures of awakening. Thus, bhikṣus! You should train in this way."

At that time, the bhikṣus, having heard the Buddha's teaching, joyfully received and upheld it.
