At that time, Venerable Dasabala Kāśyapa was staying in a mud cave in the country of Kuśinagara. There was a hunter named Liṅga not far from the Venerable One, setting up a deer snare. At that time, the Venerable One, out of compassion for the hunter, taught him the Dharma, but he did not understand the Dharma. Venerable Kāśyapa emitted light from the tip of his finger. Although the hunter saw it, he was not disgusted with such evil deeds, but only thought to himself: "Will the deer come into the snare or not?" | 尔时,尊者十力迦叶在俱萨罗国拪泥窟中。有一猎师名连迦,去尊者不远,施鹿羂摾。尔时,尊者怜愍猎师,为其说法,彼不解法。尊者迦叶指端出光,猎师虽见,亦不厌离如此恶事,但自思念:「鹿来入羂?为不入羂?」 |
