SN35:169 Lust for the Impermanent

1"Bhikkhus, you should abandon lust for whatever is impermanent. And what is impermanent? The eye is impermanent … The mind is impermanent; you should abandon lust for it. Bhikkhus, you should abandon lust for whatever is impermanent."

1"Yaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ, tatra vo rāgo pahātabbo. Kiñca, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ? Cakkhu, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ; tatra vo rāgo pahātabbo … pe … jivhā aniccā; tatra vo rāgo pahātabbo … pe … mano anicco; tatra vo rāgo pahātabbo. Yaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ, tatra vo rāgo pahātabbo"ti.
