SN35:170 Desire and Lust for the Impermanent

1"Bhikkhus, you should abandon desire and lust for whatever is impermanent. And what is impermanent? The eye is impermanent … The mind is impermanent; you should abandon desire and lust for it. Bhikkhus, you should abandon desire and lust for whatever is impermanent."

1"Yaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ, tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo. Kiñca, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ? Cakkhu, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ; tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo … pe … jivhā aniccā; tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo … pe … mano anicco; tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo. Yaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ, tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo"ti.
