Pubbakaraṇaṁ
Sammajjanī padīpo ca, udakaṁ āsanena ca;

Preliminaries
Sweeping, lamps, setting up of water and seats;
these are to be done before the observance-day ceremony. Yā pana bhikkhunī bhikkhuniṁ duṭṭhā dosā appatītā amūlakena pārājikena dhammena anuddhaṁseyya: “appeva nāma naṁ imamhā brahmacariyā cāveyya”nti,
tato aparena samayena samanuggāhīyamānā vā asa manuggāhīyamānā vā amūlakañceva taṁ adhikaraṇaṁ hoti, bhikkhunī ca dosaṁ patiṭṭhāti, ayampi bhikkhunī paṭhamāpattikaṁ dhammaṁ āpannā nissāraṇīyaṁ saṅghādisesaṁ.
Saṅghādisesa 9. Aññabhāgiyasikkhāpadaṁ
Yā pana bhikkhunī bhikkhuniṁ duṭṭhā dosā appatītā aññabhāgiyassa adhikaraṇassa kiñcidesaṁ lesamattaṁ upādāya pārājikena dhammena anuddhaṁseyya, “appeva nāma naṁ imamhā brahmacariyā cāveyya”nti, If a nun who is angry and displeased groundlessly charges a nun with an offense entailing expulsion, aiming to make her leave the monastic life,
and then after some time, whether she is questioned or not, it is clear that the legal issue is groundless, and she admits to her ill will, she commits an offense entailing suspension.
Suspension 9: Making an Accusation Out of Anger on an Irrelevant Pretext
If a nun who is angry and displeased, uses an unrelated legal issue as a pretext to charge a nun with an offense entailing expulsion, aiming to make her leave the monastic life, Yā pana bhikkhunī bhikkhuniṁ duṭṭhā dosā appatītā aññabhāgiyassa adhikaraṇassa kiñcidesaṁ lesamattaṁ upādāya pārājikena dhammena anuddhaṁseyya, “appeva nāma naṁ imamhā brahmacariyā cāveyya”nti,
tato aparena samayena samanuggāhīyamānā vā asamanuggāhīyamānā vā aññabhāgiyañceva taṁ adhikaraṇaṁ hoti. Kocideso lesamatto upādinno, bhikkhunī ca dosaṁ patiṭṭhāti, ayampi bhikkhunī paṭhamāpattikaṁ dhammaṁ āpannā nissāraṇīyaṁ saṅghādisesaṁ.
Saṅghādisesa 10. Sikkhaṁpaccācikkhaṇasikkhāpadaṁ
Yā pana bhikkhunī kupitā anattamanā evaṁ vadeyya: If a nun who is angry and displeased, uses an unrelated legal issue as a pretext to charge a nun with an offense entailing expulsion, aiming to make her leave the monastic life,
and then after some time, whether she is questioned or not, it is clear that the legal issue is unrelated and was used as pretext, and she admits to her ill will, she commits an offense entailing suspension.
Suspension 10: Renouncing the Training
If a nun says in anger, Niṭṭhitacīvarasmiṁ bhikkhuniyā ubbhatasmiṁ kathine ekarattampi ce bhikkhunī ticīvarena vippavaseyya, aññatra bhikkhunisammutiyā nissaggiyaṁ pācittiyaṁ.
Nissaggiya pācittiya 15. Akālacīvarasikkhāpadaṁ
Niṭṭhitacīvarasmiṁ bhikkhuniyā ubbhatasmiṁ kathine bhikkhuniyā paneva akālacīvaraṁ uppajjeyya, ākaṅkhamānāya bhikkhuniyā paṭiggahetabbaṁ,
paṭiggahetvā khippameva kāretabbaṁ, When her robe is finished and the robe season has ended, if a nun stays apart from her three robes even for a single day, except if the nuns have agreed, she commits an offense entailing relinquishment and confession.
Relinquishment With Confession 15: Out-of-Season Robe Cloth
When her robe is finished and the robe season has ended, if out-of-season robe-cloth is given to a nun, she may receive it if she wishes.
If she receives it, she should quickly make a robe. Yā pana bhikkhunī tiroraṭṭhe sāsaṅkasammate sappaṭibhaye asatthikā cārikaṁ careyya, pācittiyaṁ.
Pācittiya 39. Antovassasikkhāpadaṁ
Yā pana bhikkhunī antovassaṁ cārikaṁ careyya, pācittiyaṁ.
Pācittiya 40. Cārikanapakkamanasikkhāpadaṁ If a nun goes wandering without a group of travelers where it is considered risky and dangerous outside her own country, she commits an offense entailing confession.
Confession 39: During the Rainy Season
If a nun goes wandering during the rainy season, she commits an offense entailing confession.
Confession 40: Going Wandering Yā pana bhikkhunī tiracchānavijjaṁ pariyāpuṇeyya, pācittiyaṁ.
Pācittiya 50. Tiracchānavijjāvācanasikkhāpadaṁ
Yā pana bhikkhunī tiracchānavijjaṁ vāceyya, pācittiyaṁ.
Cittāgāravaggo pañcamo. If a nun studies worldly subjects, she commits an offense entailing confession.
Confession 50: Teaching worldly subjects
If a nun teaches worldly subjects, she commits an offense entailing confession.
The fifth sub-chapter on pleasure houses is finished Yā pana bhikkhunī tiracchānavijjaṁ vāceyya, pācittiyaṁ.

Pācittiya 51. Ārāmapavisanasikkhāpadaṁ If a nun teaches worldly subjects, she commits an offense entailing confession.

Confession 51: Entering Monasteries
If a nun, knowing that there are monks in a monastery, enters it without asking permission, she commits an offense entailing confession. Navaṁ pana bhikkhuniyā cīvaralābhāya tiṇṇaṁ dubbaṇṇakaraṇānaṁ aññataraṁ dubbaṇṇakaraṇaṁ ādātabbaṁ nīlaṁ vā kaddamaṁ vā kāḷasāmaṁ vā. Anādā ce bhikkhunī tiṇṇaṁ dubbaṇṇakaraṇānaṁ aññataraṁ dubbaṇṇakaraṇaṁ navaṁ cīvaraṁ paribhuñjeyya, pācittiyaṁ.
Pācittiya 140. Vikappanasikkhāpadaṁ
Yā pana bhikkhunī bhikkhussa vā bhikkhuniyā vā sikkhamānāya vā sāmaṇerassa vā sāmaṇeriyā vā sāmaṁ cīvaraṁ vikappetvā apaccuddhāraṇaṁ paribhuñjeyya, pācittiyaṁ.
Pācittiya 141. Apanidhāpanasikkhāpadaṁ When a nun gets a new robe, she should apply one of three kinds of stains: blue-green, mud-color, or dark brown. If a nun uses a new robe without applying any of the three kinds of stains, she commits an offense entailing confession.
Confession 140: Transferring to Another
If a nun herself assigns the ownership of a robe to a monk, to a nun, to a trainee nun, to a novice monk, or to a novice nun, and she then uses it without the other first relinquishing it, she commits an offense entailing confession.
Confession 141: Hiding Robes Yā pana bhikkhunī pātimokkhe uddissamāne evaṁ vadeyya: “kiṁ panimehi khuddānukhuddakehi sikkhāpadehi uddiṭṭhehi, yāvadeva kukkuccāya vihesāya vilekhāya saṁvattantī”ti, sikkhāpadavivaṇṇake pācittiyaṁ.
Pācittiya 151. Mohanasikkhāpadaṁ
Yā pana bhikkhunī anvaddhamāsaṁ pātimokkhe uddissamāne evaṁ vadeyya:
“idāneva kho ahaṁ, ayye, jānāmi ayampi kira dhammo suttāgato suttapariyāpanno anvaddhamāsaṁ uddesaṁ āgacchatī”ti, When the Monastic Code is being recited, if a nun says, ‘What’s the point of reciting these minor and insignificant training rules, when they just lead to anxiety, oppression, and annoyance?’ then in disparaging the training rules, she commits an offense entailing confession.
Confession 151: Deception
During the half-monthly recitation of the Monastic Code, a nun might say,
‘Just now did I find out that this rule too has come down in the Monastic Code, is included in the Monastic Code, and comes up for recitation every half-month.’

An almsbowl:
there are two kinds of bowls: the iron bowl and the ceramic bowl.
And there are three sizes of bowls: the large bowl, the medium bowl, and the small bowl.
Thullanandā bhikkhunī—
“amhākaṁ kathinaṁ atthataṁ kālacīvaran”ti adhiṭṭhahitvā bhājāpesi.
Upāsakā tā bhikkhuniyo passitvā etadavocuṁ—
“apayyāhi cīvaraṁ laddhan”ti? Because they had performed the robe-making ceremony, the nun Thullanandā
determined it as in-season robe-cloth, and then distributed it.
The lay followers asked those nuns whether
they had obtained any robe-cloth. bhikkhunīti

Akālacīvaraṁ nāma

Out-of-season robe-cloth:
for one who has not participated in the robe-making ceremony, it is robe-cloth given during the eleven months. For one who has participated in the robe-making ceremony, it is robe-cloth given during the seven months. Also, if it is given in the robe season, but the cloth is designated, it is called “out-of-season robe-cloth”. …pe… ayaṁ imasmiṁ atthe adhippetā bhikkhunīti.
Akālacīvaraṁ nāma

Out-of-season robe-cloth:
for one who has not participated in the robe-making ceremony, it is robe-cloth given during the eleven months. For one who has participated in the robe-making ceremony, it is robe-cloth given during the seven months. Also, if it is given in the robe season, but the cloth is designated, it is called “out-of-season robe-cloth”.
If she distributes it after determining the out-of-season robe-cloth as “in-season”, then for the effort there is an act of wrong conduct.

Garlic:
from Magadha is what is meant.
If she receives it with the intention of eating it, she commits an offense of wrong conduct.

Atha kho sā bhikkhunībhikkhunīnaṁ etamatthaṁ āroceti.
Yā tā bhikkhuniyo appicchā …pe… tā ujjhāyanti khiyyanti vipācenti— Being aware that the Buddha had allowed cleaning with water,
a nun did it too deeply, causing a sore in her vagina.
She told the nuns what had happened.
The nuns of few desires complained and criticized her, “kathañhi nāma bhikkhunī atigambhīraṁ udakasuddhikaṁ ādiyissatī”ti …pe…
“saccaṁ kira, bhikkhave, bhikkhunī atigambhīraṁ udakasuddhikaṁ ādiyatī”ti?
“Saccaṁ, bhagavā”ti.

“Is it true, monks, that a nun did this?”
“It’s true, Sir.”
The Buddha rebuked her, “saccaṁ kira, bhikkhave, bhikkhunī atigambhīraṁ udakasuddhikaṁ ādiyatī”ti?
“Saccaṁ, bhagavā”ti.

“Udakasuddhikaṁ pana bhikkhuniyā ādiyamānāya dvaṅgulapabbaparamaṁ ādātabbaṁ. Taṁ atikkāmentiyā pācittiyan”ti. “How could a nun clean herself too deeply with water?

‘The nuns are acting out of favoritism, ill will, confusion, and fear.’

“bhaginiyo kho saṁsaṭṭhā viharanti pāpācārā pāpasaddā pāpasilokā, bhikkhunisaṅghassa vihesikā, aññamaññissā vajjappaṭicchādikā.
Viviccathāyye. Vivekaññeva bhaginīnaṁ saṅgho vaṇṇetī”ti. The nuns:
other nuns who see it or hear about it. They should correct them like this:
“Sisters, you socialize, behave badly, have a bad reputation, are notorious, harass the Sangha of nuns, and hide each other’s offenses.
Be secluded, Venerables. The Sangha praises seclusion for the Sisters.”

There are other nuns in the Sangha who have such behavior, reputation, and notoriety, and who harass the Sangha of nuns and hide each other’s offenses. The Sangha says nothing to them.” Sā bhikkhunīti

Bhikkhunī nāma

Dhovāti āṇāpeti, āpatti dukkaṭassa.
Dhotāni nissaggiyāni honti. A nun:
she has been given the full ordination by both Sanghas.
If he tells her to wash it, he commits an offense of wrong conduct.

Atha kho sā bhikkhunī dutiyampi divasaṁ …pe…
tatiyampi divasaṁ sāvatthiyaṁ piṇḍāya caritvā paṭikkamanakāle taṁ bhikkhuṁ passitvā etadavoca—
“handāyya, bhikkhaṁ paṭiggaṇhā”ti.
“Suṭṭhu, bhaginī”ti sabbeva aggahesi. The next day
and the following day the same thing happened again.
On the fourth day that nun was walking along a street, trembling.
A wealthy merchant coming by carriage in the opposite direction saw her and shouted out, Bhikkhunī nāma
ubhatosaṅghe upasampannā.
Antaragharaṁ nāma
rathikā byūhaṁ siṅghāṭakaṁ gharaṁ. A nun:
she has been given the full ordination by both Sanghas.
An inhabited area:
a street, a cul-de-sac, an intersection, a house.
Bhikkhunī nāma
ubhatosaṅghe upasampannā.
Vosāsantī nāma
yathāmittatā yathāsandiṭṭhatā yathāsambhattatā yathāsamānupajjhāyakatā yathāsamānācariyakatā— “idha sūpaṁ detha, idha odanaṁ dethā”ti. Esā vosāsantī nāma. A nun:
she has been given the full ordination by both Sanghas.
Giving directions:
saying, “Give bean curry here; give rice there,” according to friendship, according to companionship, according to who one is devoted to, according to being a co-student, according to being a co-pupil—this is called “giving directions”. Sā bhikkhunīti
yā sā vosāsantī bhikkhunī.
Tehi bhikkhūhi sā bhikkhunī apasādetabbā— “apasakka tāva, bhagini, yāva bhikkhū bhuñjantī”ti.
Ekassa cepi bhikkhuno anapasādito— “khādissāmi bhuñjissāmī”ti paṭiggaṇhāti, āpatti dukkaṭassa. Her:
the nun who is giving directions.
Those monks should stop her: ‘Stop, Sister, while the monks are eating’:
if she is not stopped by even one monk, and a monk then receives food with the intention of eating it, he commits an offense of wrong conduct.
Tena kho pana samayena aññatarā bhikkhunī vatiyā cīvaraṁ pattharitvā vihāraṁ pāvisi.
Aññatarā bhikkhunī— “māyidaṁ cīvaraṁ nassī”ti paṭisāmesi.
Sā nikkhamitvā taṁ bhikkhuniṁ pucchi—
“ayye, mayhaṁ cīvaraṁ kena avahaṭan”ti? On one occasion a nun spread out her robe on a fence and entered her dwelling.
A second nun, thinking, “Let me look after it,” put it away.
The first nun came out and asked the nuns,
“Venerables, who’s stolen my robe?” Aññatarā bhikkhunī— “māyidaṁ cīvaraṁ nassī”ti paṭisāmesi.
Sā nikkhamitvā taṁ bhikkhuniṁ pucchi—
“ayye, mayhaṁ cīvaraṁ kena avahaṭan”ti?
Sā evamāha— “mayā avahaṭan”ti. A second nun, thinking, “Let me look after it,” put it away.
The first nun came out and asked the nuns,
“Venerables, who’s stolen my robe?”
The second nun said, “I’ve ‘stolen’ it.”
