“Vassati devo yathā sugītaṁ, The heavens rain like a sweet song;
Channā me kuṭikā sukhā nivātā; my little hut is roofed and pleasant,sheltered from the wind; Tassaṁ viharāmi vūpasanto, I meditate there, peaceful:
Atha ce patthayasī pavassa deva. so rain forth, heavens, if you wish.
Vassati devo yathā sugītaṁ, The heavens rain like a sweet song;
Channā me kuṭikā sukhā nivātā; my little hut is roofed and pleasant,sheltered from the wind; Tassaṁ viharāmi santacitto, I meditate there, my mind at peace:
Atha ce patthayasī pavassa deva. so rain forth, heavens, if you wish.
Vassati devo, The heavens rain like a sweet song;
… pe … my little hut is roofed and pleasant,sheltered from the wind; tassaṁ viharāmi vītarāgo, I meditate there, free of greed:
… pe … so rain forth, heavens, if you wish.
Vassati devo, The heavens rain like a sweet song;
… pe … my little hut is roofed and pleasant,sheltered from the wind; tassaṁ viharāmi vītadoso, I meditate there, free of hate:
… pe … so rain forth, heavens, if you wish.
Vassati devo, The heavens rain like a sweet song;
… pe … my little hut is roofed and pleasant,sheltered from the wind; tassaṁ viharāmi vītamoho, I meditate there, free of delusion:
Atha ce patthayasī pavassa devā”ti. so rain forth, heavens, if you wish.
